Monroe County Clerk, Jeremy Meadows, announces that the candidate filing period for the 2026 Primary Election will begin on Monday, January 12th, 2026, at 8:30 AM.   Candidate filing will be open through Saturday, January 31st, 2026.  Per WV State Code, the Clerk’s office will be open on Saturday, January 31st, 2026, from 8:30 AM till 12:00 PM for Candidate Filing.  The following is a list of candidates that have filed for office (This will be updated real time):
