What if your relationship is not listed above?

If your relationship is not listed above, then the following rules must be met:

  • For a Birth Certificate, it must be 100 years or longer since the birth.
  • For a Marriage Certificate, it must be 100 years or longer since the marriage.
  • For a Death Certificate, it must be 50 years or longer since the death.


 Why do we have these rules?

These rules are in place to protect the identity of the person on the certificate.   With identity theft at an all time high, we are steadfast in our pledge to protect those identities that are born, married or died within the county.
