NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

MONROE COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION


Notice is hereby given that the Monroe County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on August 6th, 2026, at 6:30 PM at the Lindside Family Life Center, located at 9000 Seneca Trail South, Lindside, WV 24951. The purpose of the hearing is to receive public comments on the county’s draft comprehensive plan. All interested citizens are encouraged to attend. Copies of the draft plan are available for public inspection during regular business hours at the
following locations:

1. Union Library, 299 South Main Street, Union (Open M-F 10am-4pm, closed Thursdays)

2. Peterstown Library, 172 College Drive, Peterstown (Open M, Th, F 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM; W 8am-1pm)

3. Monroe County Courthouse, County Clerk’s Office Lobby, 350 Main Street, Union (Open M-F 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM closed from Noon - 1:00 PM for lunch)

The draft comprehensive plan may also be viewed online at http//monroecountywv.gov . Written comments may be submitted prior to the hearing via the county's website. Individuals unable to review the draft plan by these methods may contact the County Clerk at 304-772-3096 ext. 3 for assistance.
