LATCF Grant Awards
Posted 08/04/23The Monroe County Commission presented the Local Assistance and Tribal Consistency Fund (LATCF) Grant winners their checks on Thursday. The county was awarded $130,000.00 from the US Treasury. They used these funds to support non-profit entities in the county that had projects that focused on the citizens of the county. The Commission hopes to find more grant funding for the county in the future. The awards is as follows:

| Monroe Outreach Ministry (Foodbank) | $2,000.00 |
| Monroe County 4-H Foundation | $9,000.00 |
| Monroe County Council on Aging | $13,000.00 |
| Sports of Monroe (JMHS Track) | $5,000.00 |
| Waiteville Community Center* | $19,000.00 |
